Display Cards

As a CTMH Consultant, I am always looking for new ideas to share with my friends and clients. After seeing many references to Display Cards I decided to investigate. I found that there are many templates out there for display cards. Below are the templates I used to design 4 Display Cards for a workshop in March. All 4 cards are designed using the Topstitch Level II Paper Pack. Let me know what you think....

I created this display card to showcase the paperback book flower (sprayed with Glimmer Mist). The photo doesn't really show the glimmer and bling that this card has.

This card is a trifold shutter card. I have added pink glitter for lots of bling...

This card is a "Side Step" card with a paper pleating bottom border.

And last but not least this is an Easel Card, woith scored and sanded background.

Family Valentines...

I know this post is late for Valentines Day but I didn't want my husband and daughters (or anyone else) to see their cards before Valentines Day.

We just finished re-doing my youngest daughter's (Kali) room. She loves Disney Princess' and Tinker Bell so her room is Princess Pink (My husband was not fond of the fact that she wanted her room pink). It turned out perfect for a little girl... (I will post pics later) so it is only fitting that her Valentines card be a Princess Card...

My oldest daughter, Tori, is 10 going on 16. She is turning into a wonderful young girl... so I decided to create a card suited to her tastes.

And last but not least is the card I created for my husband. He is my best friend and I wanted him to know that even after 15 years of marriage he still hold the Key to my Heart ...

Shabby Chic Valentine...

I have a couple of good friends who live quite a ways away. I created this card for a to send to them for Valentines Day. It has just the right amount of bling (but hard to see in the picture). I hope you enjoy!

Items Used: Cuttlebug, floral embossing folder, brown distress ink, holiday red and colonial white cardstock, True Friends stamp set, liquid glass, red glitter, gold glitter pen.

Veranda Workshop

I am holding a Veranda Workshop at the end of February and I wanted to show my customers what they could create with the Veranda Best Option Kit. So I made all 12 cards and the 2 two-page layouts. I still have quite a bit of B&T paper but I did have to use a few extra sheets of neutral cardstock to complete all of the projects. The Workshop kits sold themselves after showing my customers the quality of Close to My Heart products and variety of layouts!

You have to start sometime...

Well this is my first attempt at blogging... you have to start sometime, right? Well, I thought in my first post I would explain how came up with my blog title. I have two daughter. When my first daughter was born (10 1/2 years ago), I nicknamed her "Princess" because in my eyes she was my little princess perfect in everyway. Then 4 years later my second daughter was born. She was sooo small and dainty and she loved to be swaddled up tight. She wasn't happy unless she was cozied up warm and safe - hence I nicknamed her "Peanut" because she was like a little peanut in its shell. Therefore it is only fitting that I name my business and blog after them - The Princess & The Peanut.
