Onsie Baby Card

I  had so much fun creating this card. I a co-worker just had a baby girs.  It is her first baby.  I am so excited  for her.
I designed this card  on my Gypsy using the New Arrival Cartridge. If you would like a copy of the cut file just send me an e-mail. I embossed the top layer using a cuttlebug embossing folder to add  some texture. All products, paper, ink, buttons etc are CTMH.

The sentiment on the inside is cut using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge and stamped using CTMH stamp  set New Arrival.  If you are interested in any of the CTMH products shown, just contact me or visit my website.

Sweet Card!

My youngest daughter made this card for her cousin’s 30th Birthday!  This card was made from the CTMH My Originals Sweet Surprises Card Kit. It was very easy for her to assemble.  I think she made the whole card, envelope and embellished it in less than 15 minues. As you can see from the envelope, Kali loves to embellish her creations… (I forgot to take a picture of the inside where she added lots of her own flair) she even added polka dots to the ribbon. Her cousin loved the card!

A Budding Artist

My oldest daughter had to do an art project based on an artist.  She picked Walt Disney.  Then they had to recreate one of their paintings/drawings.  This is what she came up with.

I think she did a fabulous job!  Way to go Tori we are so proud of your talents!

Keep It Simple...

I don't know about you but I have been hearing a lot about "Project Life".  If you haven't heard about it check out here or search "Project Life" on Youtube.

The basic concept of Project Life is keep it simple and document the everyday moments in your life.  Well, a light went off over my head when I saw the video.  I decidedthen that I was going to start to scrap some everyday moment and keep them simple.  I (like most paper crafters) don't need to buy any more paper, page protectors, stamps, or albums... I decided to just use what I had but Keep it Simple and Keep it Real.

You will see in the coming weeks more scrapbook pages being posted by me.  Once I gave myself permission to keep it  simple (it  is okay if the scrapbook page isn't perfect) my creative flood gates opened wide.  I used to think that if my pages weren't over embellished, painstakingly planned and the paper perfectly matched to the picture then the page wasn't worthy. (No wonder I didn't produce many scrapbook pages - when most pages would take me 5-6 hours to complete)  Now I know it is more about capturing the moments...

How can you apply Project Life to your scrapbooking?  Leave a post and let me know how you are using Project Life...

The page shown here was completed in less than 30 minutes.  It shows a day at a  waterpark with my daughters. We had so much fun that day.  I used just a few embellishments from CTMH Footloose Dimensional Elements and stamps from the Footloose WOTG.  I cut the title, stars and tag using the Art Philosophy Cartridge.  The title was cut using the leftover "water" that was cropped off the picture.

Bikini Birthday!

This is my take on Tracey Sanders Bra Card.

I used my Art Philosophy cartridge and my gypsy to create a Bikini Top Birthday Card. I used the CARD option and the shape located on the top row 3rd from the right.

I cut the base at out at 4" using black cardstock . The top layer is cut at 3 3/4" from Sorbet cardstock. Then I put the top layer though my Cuttlebug to add some texture.

To make the straps I used the FONT layer and bottom row, 2nd from the right to make the border piece, cut it at 3/4 inch and then folded it in half. Layer the bra pieces together, but leave some part of the bra layers unattached so you can slip in a tag/sentiment.

Attach the straps and add some pretty buttons or bling.

I made a telescoping sentiment cut from a scallop circle at 3"(brown cardstock), 2 3/4" (sorbet cardstack)and 2 1/2” (colonial white cardstock).

Attach a flower decoration to the center of your bikini.

If you would like a gypsy cut file of this project, just send me an e-mail.

Be sure to check out Tracey’s blog for other great ideas using the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge.

Flip Flap Album

I made my first Flip Flap album and I have to tell it was so simple. (Actually I made two of them, one for each of my daughter's dance recitals).

This was made using CTMH Sophia's paper pack.  If you would like the instructions just send me a quick e-mail and I will send them to you.

This is the inside view.
